We serve Thailand from end to end. This section describes each major destination with what travelers typically come for, when to go, and which Thailand Taxi Services route serves it.

### 8.1 Central Thailand

**Bangkok** — The capital and main international gateway. Temples (Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun), markets (Chatuchak, Damnoen Saduak floating), nightlife (Khao San Road, Asoke, Thonglor), shopping (ICONSIAM, Siam Paragon, MBK). Year-round destination. Served from both BKK (45–60 min) and DMK (30–45 min) airports.

**Ayutthaya** — Former Siamese royal capital, 80 km north of Bangkok. UNESCO World Heritage site. Ancient temple ruins (Wat Mahathat with the Buddha head in tree roots, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Chaiwatthanaram). Day-trip-friendly from Bangkok (1.5 hr each way) or as a stop on the way to Chiang Mai. Suphansa's hometown.

**Kanchanaburi** — 130 km west of Bangkok. Bridge over the River Kwai, Erawan Falls (seven-tier waterfall in national park), Hellfire Pass war memorial, elephant sanctuaries. Best Nov–Feb. Sedan/SUV recommended for elephant sanctuary access roads.

**Sai Yok** — Sai Yok district, west of Kanchanaburi town along Highway 323: raft-house resorts on the river from about km 55 to km 105, Sai Yok Noi waterfall and Hellfire Pass (about 82 km from town). About 200–215 km from Bangkok (3–3.5 hours). One fare covers the resorts along Highway 323; resorts further out may cost extra — we confirm the price before you book. Boats to river-only resorts are arranged by the resort.

**Damnoen Saduak Floating Market** — In Ratchaburi province, about 100 km south-west of Bangkok (1.5–2 hours via Rama 2). A morning market: go early. Boats are paid at the market and are not part of the taxi fare. Ratchaburi town is about 23 km away on the same road; Kanchanaburi about 92 km and Hua Hin about 140 km, both with fixed fares from the market.

**Khao Yai** — 180 km northeast of Bangkok. Thailand's oldest national park, UNESCO listed. Wildlife (elephants, gibbons, hornbills), waterfalls (Haew Narok, Haew Suwat), wineries (PB Valley, GranMonte). Cool climate by Thai standards (700–1,300m elevation). Popular weekend getaway.

### 8.2 Eastern Seaboard

**Pattaya** — 150 km southeast of Bangkok. Beaches, nightlife, family attractions (Cartoon Network Amazone, Underwater World, Sanctuary of Truth). Served by U-Tapao Airport (UTP), 30 km south.

**BanPhe Pier** — 200 km southeast of Bangkok. The ferry gateway to **Koh Samet** island. Most travelers transfer here as the final overland leg before catching the ferry. Not a destination in itself.

**Koh Chang** — 320 km southeast of Bangkok, near the Cambodian border. Thailand's second-largest island. Less developed than Phuket — jungle, waterfalls, secluded beaches. Ferry crossing required from Trat. Best Oct–Apr.

### 8.3 Western & Southern Gulf

**Hua Hin** — 200 km southwest of Bangkok on the Gulf of Thailand. Royal-patronized beach town, calmer than Pattaya, family-friendly. Cicada Market, Plearnwan, Hua Hin Railway Station (one of Thailand's most photogenic). 3–4 hours from Bangkok by car.

**Hat Yai** — Far south, near the Malaysian border. Trading hub, not a leisure destination per se. Mostly used by travelers connecting overland to Malaysia. Long-haul route (~1,000 km from Bangkok).

### 8.4 Northern Thailand

**Sukhothai** — About 440 km north of Bangkok (5.5–6 hours by road). One fare covers hotels in New Sukhothai and in the Old City (Sukhothai Historical Park), about 12 km apart. Two airports: Sukhothai (THS), about 27 km from New Sukhothai, with Bangkok Airways flights from Suvarnabhumi; Phitsanulok (PHS), about 60–70 km away, with flights from Don Mueang. Chiang Mai is about 320 km on (4–5 hours via Lampang), Ayutthaya about 370 km.

**Chiang Mai** — Northern Thailand's capital, 700 km north of Bangkok. Old city walls, Sunday Walking Street, Doi Suthep temple, hill tribe markets, elephant sanctuaries (ethical ones — Elephant Nature Park, BEES), Songkran festival. Cool season (Nov–Feb) ideal; avoid burning season (Mar–early Apr).

**Pai** — 130 km northwest of Chiang Mai in Mae Hong Son province. Bohemian mountain town, hot springs, canyon viewpoints. The road is famously winding (762 curves) — SUV recommended for comfort. 3–4 hours from Chiang Mai.

**Chiang Rai** — 200 km north of Chiang Mai. White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), Blue Temple, Golden Triangle (Thailand-Laos-Myanmar border), hill tribe villages. Less touristy than Chiang Mai.

### 8.5 Northeast (Isan)

**Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima)** — About 250 km from Bangkok (3–3.5 hours via Highways 1 and 2, Mittraphap Road). Korat is what travellers and drivers say; Nakhon Ratchasima is the official name. Phimai Historical Park, the large Khmer sandstone temple complex, is about 60 km north-east (about 1 hour). Pak Chong (Khao Yai) is about 90 km away, the hotels along Thanarat Road about 110–130 km.

**Khon Kaen** — About 190 km from Korat on Highway 2 (2.5–3 hours) and about 440 km from Bangkok. Home to Khon Kaen University and its teaching hospital, Srinagarind. Khon Kaen Airport (KKC) is about 6–8 km from the centre.

**Udon Thani and Nong Khai** — Udon Thani is about 115–120 km north of Khon Kaen (under 2 hours on Highway 2); Udon Thani Airport (UTH) is about 5 km from the centre. Nong Khai and the Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge are about 55–60 km further (about 1 hour). Thai taxis do not cross into Laos: the fare ends at Thai immigration at the bridge, or at your hotel in Nong Khai.

**Ubon Ratchathani and Khong Chiam** — Ubon Airport (UBP) is in the city, 10–15 minutes from the centre. Khong Chiam, a riverside town on the Mekong opposite Laos, is about 81 km from Ubon (about 1 h 20). Pha Taem National Park is roughly 15–20 km beyond Khong Chiam and is quoted by message.

### 8.6 Andaman Coast (Southern Thailand)

**Phuket** — Largest island in Thailand, west coast. Patong (party), Karon/Kata (family), Old Town (heritage), Big Buddha, Promthep Cape. International airport (HKT). High season Nov–Apr.

**Patong Beach** — The main party / commercial beach on Phuket. Bangla Road nightlife. Many travelers stay here and need transfers within Phuket island.

**Ao Nang Beach** — In Krabi province, 2.5 hours by road from Phuket Airport (via the Sarasin Bridge). Gateway to Railay, Phi Phi Islands, Koh Lanta day trips.

### 9.3 What you receive after booking

- A booking confirmation email with a unique booking code (looks like `123-ABCDEFGHIJKL`).
- **Closer to the pickup time** (typically 12–24 hours before), the driver's name, photo, phone number, vehicle license plate, and exact pickup meeting point.
- For airport pickups: the pickup point. Suvarnabhumi (BKK): Level 4, Departures, near Gate 4. Don Mueang (DMK): Level 3, Departures. Phuket (HKT), U-Tapao (UTP) and the regional airports (THS, PHS, KKC, UTH, UBP): the arrivals exit.

### 11.1 How to pay

**Cash to the Driver — at the End of the Trip**

- Pay the driver in **Thai Baht cash** at the drop-off point
- No surcharge (you pay exactly the listed price)
- No Thai baht on arrival? Both Bangkok airports have ATMs and exchange counters past customs

**By Card — Through a PayPal Payment Link**

- If you can only pay by card, for example because you have not changed money yet, message us on WhatsApp or LINE and we send a PayPal payment link
- A 5% fee is added
- We never see or store card details (PayPal handles the card).

### 11.2 Currency

- All listed prices are in **Thai Baht (THB)**.
- Cash to the driver must be in Thai baht. We do not pre-calculate USD/EUR/JPY/KRW because the rate moves.

## 12. Cancellation and changes

The cancellation and change policy of Smile Taxi Service, from 2 October 2026 (full text: https://www.smiletaxiservice.com/en/terms, section 5):
- It applies to every booking, also when you pay the driver in cash. The time counts from the scheduled pickup time (Thailand time) to when your message reaches us on WhatsApp, LINE or email.
- 24 hours or more before pickup: free.
- Less than 24 hours and at least 12 hours before pickup: 25% of the booking price.
- Less than 12 hours and at least 2 hours before pickup: 35% of the booking price.
- Less than 2 hours before pickup: 50% of the booking price.
- No-show, or a cancellation or change after the pickup time: 100% of the booking price.
- A change means a new date, pickup time or route. A new hotel or address in the same area, a new flight number, or a different number of passengers or bags is free. A flight delay is not a change: the airport waiting rules apply.
- No deposit is taken when you pay the driver. Fees for late cancellations and changes are charged by PayPal payment request; if you prepaid through a PayPal link, the fee is deducted from the refund.
- Bookings made before 2 October 2026: the fees apply to pickups from 4 October 2026.
- Why: for a long trip the driver keeps the whole day for your booking and turns down other work, so a late cancellation leaves the driver without work that day.

### 12.1 Add-ons

- Add-on requests (child seat, language preference) can be added up to 12 hours before pickup.

### 12.2 Special cases

- **Flight delay** — a person checks your flight; if delay is significant, we will hold the driver as long as practical. For very long delays (4+ hours), we may need to reassign to another driver — communicated via app chat or messaging.
- **Missed flight on your side** — contact us as soon as you know. Moving the booking to another day is a change, so the fees above apply.
- **Weather closures** (rare — typhoons, floods) — the trip can be rearranged; message us on WhatsApp or LINE.

## 13. Airport Pickup Procedures

Each airport we serve has slightly different logistics. The details below assume you've booked through us in advance.

### 13.1 Suvarnabhumi (BKK) — Bangkok's primary international airport

- **Pickup point:** Level 4 (Departures), near Gate 4, where cars are allowed to stop. The exact door comes with the driver's details.
- **Flights:** a person checks your flight before the driver sets off, so a delay moves the pickup.
- **First 60 minutes free** for immigration, baggage claim, and customs — no charge.
- **Free airport Wi-Fi** is reliable — use it to message dispatch via our app or LINE if you can't find the driver.
- **Currency exchange** is available pre-customs and post-customs; ATMs are widely available.

### 13.2 Don Mueang (DMK) — Bangkok's low-cost / domestic / budget international airport

- **Pickup point:** Level 3 (Departures). The exact door depends on your terminal and comes with the driver's details.
- Same free-wait and Wi-Fi rules as BKK.
- DMK is smaller and easier to navigate than BKK; meet-up is usually faster.

### 13.3 U-Tapao (UTP) — Pattaya / Rayong area

- **Standard pickup point:** Outside the arrivals terminal.
- Small airport, only a few flights per day; meet-up is straightforward.
- We publish two routes from UTP: to Pattaya and to Ban Phe Pier (for Koh Samet, about 1 hour). For other destinations from UTP, request a custom quote.
